As a final-year PhD student specializing in targeted Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) systems, my research focuses on advancing targeted mRNA delivery to enhance efficacy and reduce side effects. I design and optimize targeted LNPs to improve the delivery of therapeutic agents to specific tissues and cells. My work has demonstrated that, using our optimally oriented antibody capturing system, LNPs can be formulated with an antibody capturing module to specifically target cells via receptor-mediated endocytosis. Our results indicate that this system can efficiently target T cells and express the cargo more effectively than current cutting-edge methods. This approach offers a new perspective on the potential of mRNA-LNPs as powerful therapeutics.
